5 Incentive Trip Destinations That Work for Sales Teams
Five destinations we keep going back to with sales teams, what each one is good at, and the kind of group it suits.
The right destination depends on the group. A 120-person field sales team and a 24-person President’s Club want different things, and the trips that work year after year tend to do one thing very well. Here are five we keep running, and what each is for.
1. Cabo San Lucas, Mexico
Good for: big groups, short flights, a first incentive trip.
Why it works: direct flights from most of the US, resorts that handle 100-plus people without strain, and a coastline built for boat days. The awards night on the sand is the photo everyone keeps.
2. Guanacaste, Costa Rica
Good for: groups that want adventure without roughing it.
Why it works: rainforest and Pacific beach in one trip, catamaran days, zip lines and hot springs, and resorts used to corporate groups. Dry season runs December through April, which lines up with most sales calendars.
3. Bocas del Toro, Panama
Good for: mid-size groups that want somewhere their reps haven’t been.
Why it works: island hopping by boat, private beachfront stays, and a slower pace that makes a five-night trip feel longer. It’s the destination our reviews mention most.
4. Iceland
Good for: leadership retreats and President’s Club.
Why it works: glaciers, waterfalls, and hot springs are a different kind of reward than a beach, and the shared experience is stronger when everyone is a little out of their element. Smaller groups do best here, and so do working sessions built into the itinerary.
5. Tokyo, Kyoto and Osaka, Japan
Good for: teams that have done the beach trip twice already.
Why it works: food, culture, and cities that run flawlessly. It’s a trip people talk about for years, and a strong choice for a Club group that has earned something beyond a resort.
How to pick
Start with group size and flight time, then budget, then what the team would actually brag about. If you’re unsure, a beach destination with a hosted boat day is the safest first trip; the second trip can take more risk.
All five are among our 24 itineraries, each priced per person with what’s included.
